hi, I’m Anna Athina.
and I make candles
I started making candles at a kitchen table, one winter when I wanted something of my own. The first one was crooked and smelled far too much of vanilla. I kept it.
Two years on I make candles for people I have never met — and I still pour them one by one, at the same table.
what I don’t change
- Soy wax only
- Plant-based, slow burn, clean flame. Never paraffin — not even when it is cheaper.
- Small batches
- Ten to fifteen candles at a time. If something isn’t right, I pour it again.
- One pair of hands
- There is no team and no factory. You are always talking to me.
